If you wish to join our team at We Will Vote, you can sign up to be a Student Deputy Registrar through your county clerk’s website. This option will include a required training session and will allow you to help register voters yourself. Email joinus@wewillvoteusa.org with any questions.

Requirements to register:

1) You must be 18 by election day.

2) You must be a US citizen.

3) You must meet your state’s individual voting regulations.

4) You must also register before your state’s voter registration deadline.

What Next?

After you have successfully registered to vote, your work is not done. Here’s what you should do.

1) make a voting plan.

It is vital that you head into election days with a clear and thought-out voting plan. You must first decide when you will be voting. If you choose to vote in-person on election day, adhere to the following steps. However, if you choose to vote by mail as an absentee voter or if you wish to vote early, be sure to follow the guidelines and deadlines that your state may require.

2) look for a registration card in the mail.

Some states may send their registered citizens a registration card that lists your polling place. If you do receive this card with a polling location, on Election Day, this is where you will vote.

3) Bring your id to polls.

You may need an identification card (a driver’s license or a passport) in order to cast your ballot. Check out your state’s voter identification requirements before heading to the polls.

4) ask questions.

If you have any questions while you are filling out you ballot, be sure to ask a poll worker. They are there to help you with whatever you may need.
